Georgia Avenue Silver Spring, Md Urban Sketch

“Georgia Avenue Silver Spring, Md” is a sketch made from a photo I snapped while sitting in traffic. I love the numerous telephone wires. This is part of my local urban sketch series.

Some sketchbook prints are now available from my etsy shop: MichelleBaileyArt.etsy.com. Please email me about any images you are interested in that you don’t see listed.

“Hello Takoma Park” & “Iceland” Prints Now Available

I have just listed two new prints made from my original paintings which you can purchase at my Etsy shop.

Hello Takoma Park and Iceland paintings by Michelle Bailey

“Hello Takoma Park” is a colorful cityscape painting of downtown Takoma Park, MD that I created using acrylic paint and a ballpoint ink pen on an artist panel. “Iceland” is an acrylic landscape painting of the Skagafjardarsysla region in Iceland. I used Google Street View (GSV) locations as a reference, which can be viewed by scanning the QR codes included with the prints. I’d like to give a special thanks to Bill Guffey for creating the Virtual Paintout which inspired me to keep painting while I was housebound and recovering from an injury. Anyone can participate. I hope you enjoy these new paintings and feel inspired to create your own! virtualpaintout.blogspot.com/

Printed with archival inks on acid-free paper. 8×10″ overall size of mat. Painting information, signature and print care are on the backing board. Wrapped in a protective cello bag. Ready to frame or for gift giving.
