I spotted this early 1950s Ford truck in Rehoboth last summer. I love the weathered colors and the strong shadows so I thought it would be fun to paint.

“Sunset Kitty”
acrylic on canvas 8×10 in
Nothing like being snowed in to get some painting done! I put the finishing touches on this painting of a kitty basking in the last rays of a fall day. A great way to stay warm and cozy in between bouts of playing in the snow.
Here is the final (or at least close to final- sometimes I can’t decide 🙂
Here are some progress photos.

Painting in Progress – TKPK Autumn in Tie Dye
I’m almost done with this painting. It’s based on a photo I took last week of a beautiful tree with its leaves changing to brilliant fall colors. There was a guy walking by at just the right moment wearing a matching tie dye t-shirt.

I’m happy to start my cigar box painting to benefit Artists for Soup as they move forward with plans to build a community center in La Paz Centro, Nicaragua. I love the labels. Now to figure out what to paint.
Artists for Soup is a non-profit organization that works to support sustainable development work in La Paz Centro, Nicaragua.
