I’ve been putting together a set of designs centered around a simple idea: peace.
The first design was a mandala built from the words hope, love, equality, inclusion, and kindness with the word PEACE also being formed from a letter of each of those words. From there, I started pulling out individual elements and simplifying them.
One version focuses on a single heart from the pattern. Another became a hand-drawn dove and olive branch with the word “peace” forming the shape around it. And eventually, that was simplified further by removing the word entirely, leaving just the dove and olive branch.
All of the designs are hand-drawn, just explored in slightly different ways.
Some are very simple and blend into the shirt. Others use a soft gradient for a bit more color. Some of the color versions can also be worn as a more subtle expression of inclusion, depending on how you wear them.
The same designs are now available on hats as well, including a lower-profile distressed style that sits closer to the head.
